Diversions from Knitting

LOOK WHAT I MADE!!!

Pants for Wee One! The directions can be found HERE; truth be told, I didn't print, enlarge and copy the pattern, I just grabbed a pair of 3 mos. size Wee One pants from the closet, folded them lengthwise, traced around them (allowing for seaming), then I made a mirror image of the pattern (to get the full unsewn leg), taped them together and cut out two, one for each leg. I put trim on the inside of the legs so they can be worn rolled up when the Wee One is super-wee, then rolled down to fit a while longer as the pattern suggests. The print is leftover fabric from some nursery projects; the striped trim is the remnants of an old button-down shirt. I think I see some more pants in the Wee One's future....
Speaking of nursery, we are getting things ready here, washed up all the bedding, clothes, towels and such this past weekend and have set them up--here's a peek:
